JESSICA FEDERER JOINS WHAM AS STRATEGIC ADVISOR TO

THE WHAM INVESTMENT COLLABORATIVE

Transformative Leader to Spearhead Investment Initiatives at WHAM

GREENWICH, Conn. (September 10, 2024) Women’s Health Access Matters (WHAM) is thrilled to announce the appointment of Jessica Federer as Strategic Advisor to The WHAM Investment Collaborative. A trailblazer in the life sciences and health technologies, Federer brings a wealth of expertise and an exciting approach to advancing investment in women’s health.

Jessica Federer is an esteemed board member and former pharma executive renowned for her innovative use of technology to advance both business and societal outcomes. As the former Chief Digital Officer at Bayer A.G., she spearheaded the global digital transformation of the company’s Pharmaceutical, Consumer Care, Crop Science, and Animal Health divisions. Federer’s extensive leadership experience spans multiple boards, including Sage Therapeutics, Pluto Health, and Aspivix. She is also the Chair of the NYSE Women’s Health Investor Summit, a prestigious event that convenes investors overseeing trillions in capital.

“Federer’s appointment marks a milestone for WHAM as we accelerate our mission to catalyze investment in women’s health,” said Carolee Lee, WHAM CEO and Founder. “Her leadership and deep experience in both the corporate and investment worlds will be instrumental as we grow our Investment Collaborative into a global network. Together, we are poised to drive the transformative change that women’s health urgently needs.”

The WHAM Investment Collaborative is set to unite leaders from venture capital, corporate VC, family offices, endowments, foundations, and government sectors, with a bold objective to double the investment for women, as part of WHAM’s ambitious 3Not30 goals.

“I am honored to support this convening of leaders to advance collaboration and investment in this rapidly developing field,” said Federer. “It’s time for us to understand why women are two-thirds of Alzheimer’s patients, eighty percent of autoimmune patients, and are fifty percent more likely to die in the year after a heart attack and invest accordingly to address this high-unmet need.”

As WHAM continues to expand the Investment Collaborative into a global network, with founding members to be announced soon, Federer’s appointment signals WHAM’s steadfast commitment to shaping the future of women’s health through collaboration.
