WHAM Awards Research Grant to Investigate Lowering Women’s Risk for Alzheimer’s

WHAM awarded Dr. Hilary Blumberg from the Blumberg Lab at Yale University a grant to examine whether sleep improvements in women lead to lower Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD) risk biomarkers. Women make up two thirds of all Alzheimer’s disease patients in the U.S., and a woman’s risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease is almost two times that of a man. Studying women’s Alzheimer’s disease risk biomarkers will provide invaluable insights into this disease that disproportionately impacts millions of women.
